The successful candidate will advance SRP’s corporate strategy of being Leaner, Greener and More Customer Centric through the delivery of unique and timely financial analysis that shapes strategic decision-making and organizational readiness. As a member of the Financial Planning team, the candidate will develop, analyze, communicate and administer a comprehensive financial plan, including corporate capital and operating budgets, and regularly assess and report financial results to executive management. We require individuals capable of transitioning seamlessly between independent analysis and collaborative assignments that are constantly changing in response to business drivers. Candidates must possess a strong capability to identify problems and apply advanced economic and mathematical concepts to draw valid conclusions, design and communicate key financial performance statistics and metrics, and deliver superior insights that are concise, timely, and relevant.
Develop, analyze and model operational, economic, management and accounting data to quantify the competitive performance of business segments, evaluate potential operational changes, and design new approaches and methodologies.
Define problems, collect data, apply advanced economic and mathematical concepts, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Work often requires the analysis of large datasets using complex SAP, Excel, MIDAS modeling.
Recommend solutions to new and complex problems, develop innovative strategies, quantify the competitive performance of the organization's operations and/or markets, and evaluate the potential impact of changes.
Design and communicate key corporate financial performance statistics, objectives, and performance metrics.
Develop reports for management on the overall performance of business segments and develop metrics to measure various characteristics of the business.
Develop financial analyses, models, and systems based on complex operational, economic, market and internal data to develop financial scenarios, plans, and budgets, and to quantify and report SRP financial performance.
Analyze historical financial performance, operations and market information using business software packages and statistical software tools (e.g., SAP, Midas, and advanced Excel work), and develop models to predict future outcomes.
Develop, analyze, communicate and administer a comprehensive financial plan, including corporate capital and operating budgets.
Prepare operations analyses including analysis of operational effectiveness.
Perform analysis of budgets, revenues, expenses, contingency requests, assets, liabilities and prepare related management reports and recommendations.
Develop and maintain financial planning systems, policies and procedures that support SRP's financial objectives and serve management's information needs.
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment. A Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related quantitative discipline and /or Master’s Degree preferred.
