To support the implementation and on-going coordination of AVANGRID's framework for compliance with North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) and Regional Reliability Organization Reliability Standards. To manage issues concerning NERC standards including the assembly of evidence that demonstrates compliance, communicating all NERC related policies, procedures and standards, serve as a Subject Matter Expert during a NERC CIP Audit, review Telecom and Infrastructure documents and drawings with subject matter experts, ensure all documentation related to Telecom & Infrastructure is kept up-to-date to reflect current business processes and procedures, evaluate compliance to Telecom & Infrastructure policies and procedures.
Manage, solve and report on issues regarding NERC standards, maintenance of compliance evidence, guidance.evelopment.evising.ommunication of NERC policies procedures and standards in a timely fashion. Ability to review T&I; documents and drawings.
Ensure all documentation related to Telecom & Infrastructure is kept up-to-date to reflect current business processes and liaison with local and corporate NERC compliance groups as well as other utilities regarding NERC standards.
Provide presentations on updated and upcoming standards to the department along with documents for training and awareness on NERC standards to employees.
Evaluate compliance to Telecom & Infrastructure policies and procedures and insure proper logging is completed within regulatory guidelines.
Gather audit requirements and evidence for external regulatory agencies: NERC, NPCC, ISO-NE, and PURA.
Lead efforts in organizing and gathering information for the Telecom & Infrastructure team during Cyber Vulnerability Assessments and NERC CIP Audits.
Identify and communicate any control gaps and work with Telecom and Infrastructure management to facilitate
remediation required to achieve compliance.
Participate in and evaluate Telecom and Infrastructure events within the scope of AVANGRID Unified Incident Reponses.
Participate in internal and external, committees, task forces and Groups (For example: UI CIP Committee, NPCC Workshops, NPCC Task Force on Infrastructure and Technology).
Education and Experience Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science, plus seven years of demonstrated experience performing complex analysis and coming to useful conclusions, developing formal presentation documentation, technical reports, instruction and graphic presentations as well as experience with electronic documentation management tools. Supports the implementation and on-going coordination ofAVANGRID's framework for compliance with North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) and Regional Reliability Organization Reliability Standards. Ability to respond to standard and non-standard compliance requirements. Demonstrate strong technical writing skills. Ability to perform straightforward data analysis. Ability to provide training, presentations, and instruction. Ability to explain straightforward compliance issues and works to establish consensus. Lead efforts and initiatives, influence change, and recommend best practices to ensure UIL NERC compliance and consistency with regulatory agencies (NERC, FERC, etc.) and internal policies and procedures. Able to work in a cross-functional team and provide compliance guidance to Telecom & Infrastructure group for NERC-CIP compliance.
