The Social Media Specialist will assist in the continued development of the digital engagement strategy for AVANGRID and all of its businesses. This role is responsible for providing content and insight into current trends and impact measurement within the digital communications. This position is fully integrated into AVANGRID Corporate Communications team and will be exposed to the positioning of AVANGRID as a leader in the energy sector, providing reliable service for our customers with a commitment to the wellbeing of our communities. Through innovation and technology, AVANGRID seeks to provide clean energy through sustainable sources and committed to reducing our carbon footprint.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):
- Lead insights into strategic content strategies to produce, edit and distribute original content, articles, feature stories and special content to grow audiences, awareness, and engagement metrics/conversion across multiple platforms.
- Contribute to editorial calendar keeping content refreshed, accurate and up-to-date; work closely with various business areas to hone messaging and develop ideas for content by showcasing various themes, topics, events, etc.
- Drive research and awareness of hot/effective social media campaigns to continually evolve channel strategy.4. Audit and maintain standards/guidelines on brand tone, voice, and curation content mix across all AVANGRID companies and their platforms.
Leverage tracking strategies to monitor and evaluate impact of programs in market; develop reports on programeffectiveness in market and makes recommendations for program enhancement and improvement.
Assist with all digital communications platforms creation and development. Lead insights into digital trends across all social platforms.

Education & Experience Required:
Bachelors Degree preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or High School/GED with a minimum of 5 years relevant
Minimum 3 years of experience managing online communities and/or platforms for brands preferred.
In depth and superior knowledge and understanding of online community platforms and their respectiveparticipants (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, etc.)
Strong ability to multi task and prioritize.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
