Energize your career at Exelon!PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONOverall responsibility for the management of multiple, multi year environmental remediation projects (Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP), Superfund, Brownfields). Position has direct responsibility for achieving project goals safely within approved project schedule and cost parameters to reduce environmental liabilities. Position has direct responsibility for developing and maintaining relationships with Regulatory Agencies, municipalities and third parties (developers, property owners, etc) to facilitate implementation of remedial strategies. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESAccountability- Develop and implement project strategies, plans, schedules and budgets to safely achieve project objectives of assigned projects in accordance with established scope, schedule, budget and process parameters. 25%- Manage contractor performance to contract and scope documents. Provide direction and leadership to contractors, consultants and project team members. Interface with internal stakeholder organizations as well as project reporting to EED Senior Management; 20%- Conduct project reviews, resolve conflicts and develop recovery plans including risk/contingency analysis; 15%- Interface with Vice President to present Reports for Certification (NJ only); 5%- Develop and; implement outreach and communication strategies with external stakeholders including negotiating and influencing agreements with third parties such as property owners, municipalities, state and county agencies. ; 10; 5- Direct the development of environmental reports and regulatory correspondence to support MOA and ACO commitments & schedules (NJ only)- Leverage expertise to provide environmental consulting support to other EED organizations; 15; 5POSITION SPECIFICATIONSMinimum: - BS in Engineering, Environmental or Science- The knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully accomplish the responsibilities of this position are acquired through at least 5- 8; years of progressive operating, environmental or regulatory supervisory and management experience with at least 2 years of direct project management experience. - Demonstrated negotiating and conflict management skills- Demonstrated leadership skills- Knowledge and working experience with applicable local, state and federal environmental regulatory requirementsPreferred: - Demonstrated oral & written communications skills- Professional Certification including: PE, PG, PMP, CHMM

  • This position is responsible for leading the development and execution of project strategies involving internal and external stakeholders, regulatory agencies safely and in accordance with established scope, schedule, budget and process parameters. This position is directly responsible for meeting regulatory requirements and achieving cost recovery. Work is diversified and complex and requires understanding of regulations, contract and technical requirements as well as EED outreach goals and strategies. - Success requires close interaction with EED executives, regulatory agency personnel, contractors, consultants, municipalities and third parties. Strong leadership, interpersonal, financial and negotiating skills are essential. Autonomy in decision making with a strong sense of integrity and accountability and ability to self-direct performance are required.
