JOB SUMMARY

Provides production support in an ERP business system environment, focusing on ERP\Cloud Payroll applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides production support to processes and payroll transactions in ERP\Cloud Payroll system in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with corporate procedures, including base wages, bonuses, equity compensation and any other items that effect taxable wages and payroll taxes.

  • Configures systems based on business need without affecting the existing operational procedures and business rules; resolves interface issues.

  • Supports the resolution of payroll and compensation issues. Maintains appropriate working relationship with Payroll team to effectively resolve payroll processing issues within the ERP\Cloud Payroll applications, as well as testing and help validating payroll data output from the system for any payroll updates or system changes.

  • Adheres to SOX compliant internal control procedures. Supports the design, documentation, implementation, modification and monitoring of SOX compliant internal controls.

  • Supports business (Payroll Team) to run the accounting and reporting of all payroll and compensation transactions.

  • Supports ERP\Cloud Payroll application testing for updates and system changes, Provides analysis and support for management and external reporting.

  • Identifies, evaluates and recommends new functionality in past and future ERP\Cloud Payroll application releases.

  • Reviews and analyzes operations procedures, processes, workflows and system changes to evaluate effectiveness; proposes changes to optimize system and improve productivity.

  • Assesses system/regression testing after patches or new features are added; creates scripts for testing the system; assists will all aspects of user acceptance testing and ensures zero defects before implementing changes in production.

  • Analyzes process failures and other production issues; provides solutions with the least down time.

  • Assists business owners (Payroll Team) in day-to-day and Payroll related processes.

  • Communicates systems issues to technical and non-technical staff; assembles, analyzes and evaluates business process data; uses data analysis skills and query tools to provide meaningful information to process managers.

  • Creates training materials and conducts training sessions for end users.

  • Requires flexible work schedule to support ERP\Cloud Payroll applications.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in, IT or Accounting other related field with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a functional analyst role supporting Payroll application

  • Experience with payroll applications, Oracle Fusion Payroll preferred.

  • Experience in business processes, implementations, enhancements, documentation for business requirements and development of user test scripts.

  • Ability to research and analyze payroll and payroll tax related issues.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Possesses sound analytical problem-solving skills and documentation skills.

  • Possesses sound documentation skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
