In our Damage Prevention department, we implement education and awareness campaigns to inform the public and other key stakeholders how to work safely around buried utilities, as well as how to recognize and respond to a possible natural gas leak. What you will be doing

  • Administer the Public Awareness Program ensuring regulatory compliance and effectiveness of the public awareness efforts

  • Utilize data to create strategic education and awareness plans

  • Plan and implement outreach efforts to key stakeholders (General Public, Emergency Responders, Excavators and Public Officials)

  • Participate in various state associations with a focus on pipeline safety and safe digging practices

  • Maintain compliance documentation and tracking of all Public Awareness efforts

  • Organize documentation for presentation during audits

  • Manage workload with minimum supervision under time constraints

  • Monitor changes to regulatory standards and communicate to impacted stakeholders

  • Develop industry specific knowledge, skills, and a thorough understanding of compliance requirements

  • Participate in emergency response activities as needed or support company operations during periods of labor unrest

What you bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, education or other related field

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Career ladder associated to the role so we are interested in candidates that range from recent graduates to experienced professionals

It would be awesome if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis on public safety or adult education

  • Knowledge and experience in campaigns with a focus on changing behaviors

  • Knowledge of database applications and development
