Lead Information Technology associates accountable for the overall delivery of IT projects related to IT Product Development domains. This position reports to the Director – Applications Project Office.

Responsible for leading, managing and directing multiple project teams. Coordinating scheduling, team building, maintaining working relationships with functional areas outside of IT. Required to achieve the objectives of concurrent projects, with enterprise-wide impact. Allocates staff and budget resources as needed to achieve the objectives of multiple projects spanning multiple areas and business functions. Works in tandem with top management to achieve corporate objectives by directing and leading multiple project teams. Reviews and evaluates project plans and objectives. Tracks project progress with respect to scope, schedule, budget and business results. Communicates progress to top management and modifies schedules as required. Negotiates with clients, staff and outside vendors as required. Establishes quality and performance indicators in order to meet project completion targets. Applies effective project management methodologies and control techniques. Keeps informed of advances in the IT field. May recommend changes to the infrastructure consistent with achieving broad objectives. Performs managerial duties including career development, coaching and counseling, and performance and compensation management. Performs additional duties as assigned or requested.

Required Skills, Competencies, Education or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least eight, typically ten or more years of diverse experience in multiple areas of technology of which at least four years in a leadership position, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • At least five years supervising technical staff. Possesses a commanding knowledge of the technical and business issues in any of the following areas: Applications or Infrastructure Architecture, Systems Development, Project or Product Management and Operations/Production support.

  • Requires ability to manage projects from conception to successful implementation. Requires solid project management skills, ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a cross-functional environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, business judgment, proven expertise in directing the efforts of a technical staff. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and team building skills.

Desired Skills, Competencies, Education or Experience:

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Management or Masters of Business Administration

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Experience working with SAP Finance, HCM, and Supply Chain projects preferred

  • Experience managing project delivery within a system lifecycle methodology, AGILE based methodology, and/or Six Sigma / Process Excellence based project.
