Qualifications: The Senior Specialist (program) supports all aspects of the Company’s energy efficiency, demand management and demand response programs, including design, operational, administrative, budgetary, marketing, performance analysis, reporting, process improvement, customer and stakeholder engagement and leads the execution of these programs.

Required Skillsets/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

A minimum of three to five years of work experience, with at least two years project management experience

Experience in energy efficiency, demand management, or demand response or other competitive, market driven utility programs Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to drive results by collaborating with stakeholders to build consensus

Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation,

Analytical skills

Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, and the ability to see the big picture and attention to detail

Ability to make decisions in real-time, under pressure

Flexibility to deal with ambiguity and comfortable working in a dynamic environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Public speaking experience

Preferred Skillsets/Qualifications:

Master’s degree or MBA

Degree in Engineering, Economics, Information Technology, or related field

Experience working with partners and/or vendors

Technical writing skills

Knowledge of project implementation ( such as Microsoft Project)

Lead special projects and/or specific program initiatives targeted at specific levels of the energy delivery system, for specific customer segments, and/or in collaboration with other Company, state or city programs or state/city entity programs (such as NYSERDA).

Manage all required relationships including vendors, customers, as well as internal and external stakeholders.

Establish processes, policies and procedures for the regular consideration/ integration of demand side management (DSM) solutions into the Company or external entity planning.

Analyze project specific customer demographics to identify appropriate DSM measures and potential system relief attainable via DSM.

Monitor budget and processes.

Work with Market Research & Analytics and Engineering teams to identify and fill gaps in market/ technology data.

Perform and evaluate cost/benefit ratio of the project/initiative and potential success and risks.

Work with Marketing and Sales to design marketing, sales and outreach efforts to encourage the adoption of DSM measures by the identified target customer group.

Manage the program delivery process including contract negotiation, execution management and /or modifications.

Coordinate information flow to and from the Delivery Management team and other stakeholders.

Present to internal and external audiences.

Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Physical Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license

Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed

Must be able to participate in the Company’s emergency management processes and storm plans as required.
