Qualifications: The Technology section of the Compliance Management department of the Business Ethics & Compliance organization is seeking a dedicated individual to join its team. The Compliance Management Technology Section is responsible for developing and implementing processes and technology to assist the regulated businesses of CECONY and O&R; to comply with regulatory requirements. The Section engages organizations to understand current practice and technology, and develop technology that will innovate both the dissemination of compliance information, as well as the reporting and trending of compliance and risk. The successful candidate will help develop and contribute to Key Performance Indicators that will assist Compliance Management to define and measure progress toward organizational goals. For the Senior Analyst: Must have at least 3 years of work experience in computer application programming or systems engineering. A minimum of 1 year experience in big data management, SDLC (systems development lifecycle), databases (Oracle, SQL Server), SQL programming, and project management is required. Experience in regulatory compliance and regulatory enforcement preferred. For the Senior Planning Analyst: Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. 5 years of Experience in database programming, and/or data mining is required. Must have one year of relevant work experience in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations. Must have experience using or implementing a compliance software package. For both: The successful candidate must demonstrate a positive work ethic in support of the Company’s Corporate Values and Mission. Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, detail oriented and flexible enough to handle multiple assignments in a fast paced environment. Ability to analyze processes relevant data to recommend sound solutions, and implement process improvement. Applicant must have notable analytical skills and experience in using a data analytics software (Tableau, ACL, or other). Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent field of study. A Master’s degree is preferred. Must be proficient in the use of MS Office products including Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint. . Experience in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system configuration and implementation a plus. Hands on practice with the six sigma tools is preferred.

Responsibilities: The Sr. Analyst will participate in the implementation of technology solution(s) for Compliance Management. The individual will help ensure that the chosen the technology solution(s) fully captures all regulatory and other requirements the Company complies with. He/she will work on data warehousing and data management of compliance rules and regulations as well as reporting status of compliance. He/She will also interface and collaborate with Company groups that presently have responsibilities for compliance verification and documentation retention and incorporate or manage changes necessary to ensure the enterprise technology solution will promote best practices and verbatim compliance as applicable. The Sr. Analyst will prepare internal Company reports that measure and demonstrate organizational compliance. He/She will provide data analytics support by creating relationships and correlations between various data sources, creating dashboards, and reports. The Sr. Analyst will navigate areas for improvement; create and sustain a workplace environment that fosters leadership, professionalism, honesty, concern, excellence and teamwork. Sr. Analyst will participate in an environment that supports our Company’s cultural imperatives; openness, fairness and trust; customer/external stakeholder relationships, and cost consciousness. The Sr. Planning Analyst will have active involvement in the implementation and maintenance of technology solutions for Compliance Management, ensuring the provision of proper data warehousing, ease of data retrieval and accuracy of reporting. Will interact, communicate and exchange information with groups from other Company departments, other utilities, vendors, and benchmarking partners in the conduct of job responsibilities. Ensure that Compliance Management technology solution(s) promote best practices and verbatim compliance as applicable, including compliance verification, document retention and other requirements. Represents Compliance Management at meetings in connection with job responsibilities. Design and build best-in-class dashboards, tools and reports. Provide data analysis and reports to customers and management on a regular, and as needed, basis. Evaluate existing templates and tools and enhance functionality and capabilities. Act as project manager in the development and maintenance of technology solution(s). 12. Maintain well organized files and accurate records including maintaining back-up for computer files and safeguarding technology equipment, reports and other sensitive items. Develop material for end users including guides and training material. Provide training and development of applicable personnel on compliance solution(s). Perform other tasks and assignments as required.

  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory as needed
