Con Edison Specialist / 1H in New York, New York

Qualifications: The Specialist is responsible to support and implement the department’s sales and marketing initiatives to promote the use of gas heating through oil to gas conversions. The Specialist will assist customers through the entire gas business process; from the customer’s initial inquiry, by providing requisite information, such as cost and service class options to assist them in making an informed decision about converting to natural gas, through gas meter turn-on. The Specialist will coordinate with other internal and external stakeholders as necessary to support these efforts. The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and two years of experience working in a sales, marketing environment or a related field with knowledge of analytical and data assessment is required. A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field preferred. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills as well as exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively in one-on-one and group situations. Microsoft Office knowledge required and Customer Relationship Management systems (e.g., Salesforce) preferred.

The successful candidate will be expected to gain a working knowledge of gas pricing and tariff structure.

Responsibilities: Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Respond to customer and other stakeholder inquiries regarding oil to gas conversions. Project management/account management of various size sales/marketing campaigns. Provide administrative and customer service support for the Company’s Interruptible Program. Responsible to support the Customized Oil to Gas Incentive Program. Track negotiated contracts, waiver of capital agreements and agreements where a rebate is offered and reconcile agreements, as necessary. Perform presentations from time to time (e.g., internal customer. external stakeholders, such as trade associations, board meetings and general sales meetings). Responsible for responding to customer inquiries, updating all relevant Company’s internal systems (e.g. CPMS, CIS, other work management systems) and any customer management systems, such as Salesforce. Supports marketing and market research for business plan development, financial modeling and program.

Physical Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed. Must be able to provide support in all types of weather conditions and walk lengthy distances.
