Qualifications: With technological innovations pushing the envelope of communication and collaboration, the Presentation Technologies group is seeking a, dedicated, innovative individual with solid leadership characteristics and a strong audio visual (AV) background to join its management team as a Project Specialist. The Project Specialist is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all AV technologies, responsible for managing technology operations and deploying integrated AV solutions. The candidate must have hands-on demonstrable experience with the following; (1) Able to design AV solutions for conference rooms and large event spaces. Must be an expert with AV technologies and expected to stay abreast of changes in the industry and leverage these skills in order to architect and specify AV equipment recommendations. (2) Experience with the Polycom videoconference platform. (3) Skill with Captivate and Articulate software to record and edit eLearning programs. (4) Video production experience required to set-up and operate; visual displays, cameras, microphones and audio mixers. (5) Able to trouble-shoot various types of AV equipment and provide a resolution. (6) Experience to plan and coordinate AV for high profile corporate events. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Communications, Media or Visual Arts with 3 to 5 of years’ experience in the field of AV support and operations or Associates degree preferably in Communications, Media or Visual Arts and 5 to 7 years’ experience in the field of AV support and operations. Preferred skills; certification with Polycom platform components, edit with Final Cut Pro, create project plans with MS Visio and MS Project, experience with CEO and Executives to fulfill their AV needs in a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall appearance and management of large scale presentations including video conferencing, producing PowerPoint and eLearning programs. Responsible for all corporate AV equipment upgrades; schedules, coordinates, recommends cost-efficient methods for replacement of outdated AV equipment. Develop and maintain corporate standards for AV equipment. Research, plan, design and determine the correct capital AV equipment recommendations. Coordinate and collaborate with Facilities, Supply Chain, Architect, General Contractor and AV vendor. SME and technical adviser to complete the installation on time and under budget. Supervises employee & contractor personnel in various locations. Provides on-site troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, resolution and support for the Corporate AV infrastructure. Works with CEO and senior executives and their support team to ensure a professional meeting with positive experience. Operates the Polycom video platform and troubleshoots issues. Plan, coordinate and operate high profile presentations; Stockholders Meeting, Board of Trustees, Living Our Values, TEAM awards & Information Exchange. Handles specialized software to create presentations and “How To” videos to promote self-service and reduce call volume to the Help Desk. Ensures the Con Edison’s Code of Conduit, EH&S; programs and Cyber Security policies and procedures are followed. Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with company policy and governmental regulations. Provide support 24 hours, seven days a week during Corporate Emergency’s (CERC). Motivates team members to improve their skills and performance; provides feedback and takes appropriate disciplinary action. Performs administrative duties; scheduling technicians, approving time sheets, monthly POET transfers, develops or modifies AV procedures. Is a team player, provides +1 Customer Service, accountable, strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. Possess strong organizational skills, creativity, exercise independent judgment and render good operational decisions. Detail oriented, work under tight deadlines, and flexible to handle multiple assignments with changing priorities. Acts as the liaison for IT. Performs duties of Section Manager when not present and team assignments or projects.

Physical Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license to transport equipment. Able to travel to any Con Edison location. Able to lift a min of 20 lbs. and capable of bending and kneeling to troubleshoot or install AV equipment.
