JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Responsible for the following technologies: Laptop/Desktop, Remote Access technologies, Print, Mobile Device Management, Productivity Applications, and Unified Communications. The role is also responsible for development/maintenance of the end user computing (EUC) platform including: Personal Computing Services, Print Services, Application Packaging, Remote Computing Services, Facilities Technology Services, and Collaboration Services. The role is responsible for delivering assigned projects on time, on budget, with first time quality, and adherence to business requirements while standardizing/rationalizing technical platforms.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate with Program Managers, individual Solution Architect (SA) leads, and vendors to develop/enhance EUC platforms in a timely, cost effective manner.

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external resources to ensure coordination across multiple products.

  • Provide oversite to the supporting vendor(s) to ensure they are meeting stated services levels (requirements & quality) and aligning to Entergy stated standards (e.g., security, architecture, quality).

  • Provide operational oversite for supported technologies.

  • Provide technical expertise, in support of ongoing projects, new product selection and lifecycle management

  • Assist in the piloting and testing of new services and functionality designed to improve employee efficiency, engagement, maintain compliance, and extend business capabilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.

Minimum experience required of the position

5+ years of end user infrastructure experience (desktop, laptop and user applications)

Desired: Experience with automation, utilizing scripting tools,such as VB Script, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or other scripting language.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Strong working knowledge of infrastructure and software development lifecycle and methodologies, knowledge of all areas of the end user platforms listed above.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization. Ability to lead using informal authority to drive organizational objectives (internal and external resources).

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

ITIL Certification preferred
