JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

  • Delivering HR strategy and HR governance, guidance, service management and support to internal client groups to drive value for all four of our key stakeholders. Provide strategic consultative support to executive leaders in the areas of workforce planning, organization design and effectiveness, team development, leadership coaching, talent management, and change management. Develop talent strategies that enable business success in alignment with corporate/functional group objectives. Facilitate team assessments and interventions that enable high performance and organizational health. Deliver HR programs in partnership with the HR team.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides oversight of broad scale HR consulting and problem-solving solutions to senior business leaders and operates as a full member of the senior business leaders management teams

  • Lead a team of 8-9 HR Business Partners, enabling their success and developmentServes as the interface between senior business leaders and the rest of the HR organization. The Director, HR-Business Partners will work to help define service level expectations for clients and then to provide periodic feedback on performance levels in accordance with expectations. Where performance gaps exist, the Director will be responsible for making sure that those gaps are addressed

  • Oversees the delivery of strategic HR services by HR Business Partners. Strategic HR services may include the following: strategic staffing plans, including headcount projections and talent sourcing strategies; organizational design ; leadership development, including executive coaching and actions necessary to promote the leadership practices ; succession planning, talent assessment, and performance management; compensation support, which may include the design and execution of custom compensation projects to support critical business needs; supporting Labor

  • Relations with the development and implementation of Labor Strategies; supporting other strategic projects as assigned; transition and integration of new leaders

  • Support efforts to improve organizational health and diversity and inclusion with the business organizations supported. Serve as a leader in advancing the HR Service Delivery model

  • Improve talent development, succession slates, organizational health and diversity and inclusion within the client organizations, making Entergy a great place to work

  • May participate on enterprise wide steering committees such as the Performance Management and Talent Management Steering Committee. Collaborate and build relationships with all parts of HR, Shared Services and other needed groups to deliver strategic HR services to customers

  • Understand social, technological, economic, political environmental and demographic trends facing our industry

  • Partner with business unit leaders to plan and implement HR solutions aligned to the business unit and pull in resources from shared services and centers of excellence as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

  • Typically requires a college or university degree in related field or the equivalent work experience.

  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of a completed undergraduate degree, graduate level coursework and hands-on work experience that provides the knowledge and experiences necessary to perform the work.

Minimum experience required of the position

  • 10+ years in field of human resources with strong knowledge of all human resource functions as key business levers. Demonstrated success as a business partner and internal consultant.

  • Desired: 15 years HR experience, including:

  • Demonstrated knowledge in all areas of Talent Management including Workforce Planning, Sourcing, Employee and Leader Development, Succession Planning, Performance Management

  • Trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders

  • Partnering with business leaders to improve employee engagement

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Understanding of a strong safety culture focused on operational excellence and people

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

  • HR professional designation (e.g. SPHR, CHRP, CIPD, etc.) preferred
