Description

This position will provide day-to-day office support, answer and direct calls, and handle the flow of people through the business. The Office Assistant position must have strong attention to detail and maintain confidentiality at all times. Critical for success is the ability to embody the corporate culture in all interactions and demonstrate professionalism and excellence in customer service.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations.

  • Answer telephones and greet and direct visitors.

  • Provide administrative needs for office operations and procedures such as preparation of information management, filing systems, requisition of supplies, and other clerical services.

  • Assist in the retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.

  • Organizing and sorting incoming and outgoing mail.

  • Print requests for proposal and technical specifications for use in estimate preparation.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and one to three years of related administrative experience. In addition, demonstrated proficiency utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel are mandatory. One must adhere to a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Other qualifications include effective oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multitask.
