*This position will be filled as a Material Operator I, II, or Sr. depending on experience.*
Under general supervision, provide storeroom and inventory management services including purchasing, issuing and receiving supplies and materials, and maintain records necessary to properly record, issue or receive all inventory. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accounting requirements (e.g. Sarbanes Oxley, Fixed Assets, etc.).
Operates storeroom, issue/receive supplies, and stock materials in an efficient manner.
Maintain records necessary to properly record issue or receipt of all inventory.
Take inventories and direct work of other storeroom employees.
Operate equipment used in handling material.
Is available for overtime when needed.
Purchase materials and perform monthly credit card reconciliation.
Minimum education required of the position
High school diploma or GED equivalent or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position
I: 0-2 years experience in a warehouse, preferably with logistics management experience. Prior storeroom experience desired.
II: 2-4 years experience
Sr: 4-6 years experience
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Knowledge of inventory management practices. Knowledge and demonstrated ability to use computer applications and procedures. Good written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of storeroom regulatory and accounting requirements. Ability to effectively work with internal and external staff.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Forklift Operator Certification; Current Drivers License.
