We Energies IT Applications Programmer (.net Developer) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

This dynamic position will be responsible for various roles within the Energy Management and Market Solutions (EMMS) group. This group supports custom, in-house applications and computer systems for four real-time, 24x7 electric and gas operational control groups and related business functions while maintaining a focus on quality control and integrity to ensure system reliability is maintained and compliance obligations are met.

This position will be responsible for developing and supporting critical, custom in-house applications, programming with the latest Microsoft development tools; including Visual Studio, VB.Net, SQL Server, and Windows Presentation Foundation.

Custom Solution Design & Development: Designs, develops, and implements complex gas and electric customized computer and related technology solutions to support, automate, and improve the company’s energy management, SCADA, and market operation functions.

System Support & Enhancements: Works within a team to provide on-going support and enhancements to EMMS computer and technology systems. Diagnoses problems, researches options, recommends solutions, and implements changes .

Performs SCADA and related energy management system data modeling activities to accurately represent the electric and gas system configurations.
On-call support during off hours is required on a rotating basis.

Experience in any of the following IT/technology functions ideal: software development, network/security administration, database administration,
engineering, business systems analysis.

Experienced preferred, however, new college graduates without experience are encouraged to apply. Salary will be based on previous work history.

This position requires unescorted access to certain critical cyber assets which would require applicants to satisfy all Company and NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standard 004 security requirements, which includes a background investigation.
