We are looking to hire one engineer co-op (mechanical or electrical engineering student) in our power generation engineering department. This program gives students the opportunity to preview the work environment in their field of study and:
• Apply classroom learning
• Combine engineering science with communications and team-building skills
• Receive hands-on experience
Our co-op program serves as a recruiting source for potential hires after graduation.
Mechanical or Electrical Engineer – Power Generation
Engineer co-ops working in Power Generation will gain experience in plant and project engineering, as well as planning, technical support and environmental compliance activities. Students will assist in monitoring and evaluating equipment and system performance, while maintaining reliability, safety and regulatory compliance. Generation facilities include large coal-fired plants and combustion turbines plants in Wisconsin and upper peninsula of Michigan.
Students must be enrolled in full-time, four year college/university pursuing a Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree. A minimum GPA of 2.8 is required during all coop terms. Students are expected to complete at least two work terms before graduation. Students who have completed Freshman year may be preferred.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office application.
