Responsible for planning and scheduling transmission & substation projects and/or maintenance tasks, weekly oversight and coordination of outage schedules, and resource allocation for execution of Capital Projects and Maintenance work to meet departmental work plan objectives.
Develops short and long term schedules based upon equipment priority and business objectives. Makes priority decisions affecting area work plans, resolves time constraints, schedules work requests, and maintains documentation within scheduling software and/or maintenance applications.
Coordinates and leads weekly scheduling meetings with local management personnel. Support the Work Management Process for Transmission Lines and Substations, support Configuration Management requirements, and utilize Project Management concepts and tools to develop, monitor, and revise schedules.
Manages work request closure reviews, approves non-SERC work requests, performs documentation review, and is accountable for energization notification submittals. Accountable for assignment of appropriate maintenance requirements (tasks, intervals, and priority) to each in-service asset and suspension of out-of-service assets within the scheduling software and/or maintenance applications.
Provides weekly oversight and coordination of outage schedules and resource allocation for execution of Capital Projects and Maintenance work to meet departmental work plan objectives. Requires routine interface with stakeholder groups such as Project Management and Construction, Industrial Accounts, Asset Management, Transmission Operations Center, Distribution Operations Center and Transmission Operations Planning.
Submits and monitors maintenance, project outage, and APS requests in TAORS based on reviews of the work plan requirements.
Identifies deficiencies, analyzes alternatives and proactively recommends solutions to schedule and/or resource conflicts. Works with affected parties to ensure that conflicts are resolved and/or mitigated.
Assists with coordination and tracking of material and equipment deliveries. Determine if material and equipment deliveries will affect projects and/or maintenance tasks, and ensure adjustments are made as needed.

Minimum education required of the position
Associate degree or equivalent work experience

0-4 year in a related field or function for Pl/Sc Coord (Trans)
4-6 years in a related field or function for SR. Pl/Sc Coord (Trans)
Desired experience for the position
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with multiple levels of the organizational structure. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Experience/training in scheduling resources or maintenance and construction practices. Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Project, Power Plan, CR&A and database applications. Desired: Knowledge of SWMS, TAORS; Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance and construction activities.
Over 4 years of experience related to Electrical Substations, Protective Relaying and Controls, and/or Telecommunications. Field experience preferred, but not required. Project management or Scheduling experience preferred, but not required.
