NiSource Local Area Scheduler - Electric (LaPorte) in LaPorte, Indiana
Purpose:Drive the performance of electric field operations teams in the local area by providing quality and efficient work schedules to ensure timely response and exceptional service to internal and external customers. Key Results:
Compliance with outside regulators and internal company policies as they relate to scheduling and assigning responsibilities.
Serviceable communications with field workforce, operations, system operations, engineering, new business, construction, outside services, and all others that may apply to ensure a collaborative and effective link.
Efficient distribution of work to electric crews.
Departmental support systems and tools are utilized and work is coordinated among various field employees resulting in effective scheduling, assigning, and data reporting.
Management of work and resources to ensure timely completion of all assignments, goals, objectives, and exceptional customer service.
Effective work performance through data gathering, distribution and communication.
Coordinates with New Business and Engineering organizations to establish need by dates for work preparation that aligns with customer needs and schedule dates
Coordinates with Material Supply personnel to ensure material availability to support scheduled work
Facilitates the release of material to the job by changing status in MAPPs
Coordinates with local supervision to ensure job site readiness and assists in resolving issues (i.e.; locates)
Confirms T-0 work scope is ready to work by the schedule freeze. (T-1)
Identifies and schedules provisional work (i.e. fall-back or low priority work) as needed to keep workforce resources fully allocated
Ensures work in the same geographical area is aligned for crew efficiency
Confirms validity of manpower estimates and durations
Coordinates with local field supervision to ensure maximum efficiency for resource utilization
Facilitates scheduling meetings during preparation, execution, and lessons learned phases
Prepares and updates weekly schedules for work groups
Verifies that pre-requisite activities for the T-0 week are included in the previous work week schedule
Incorporates emergent work with a focus on customer satisfaction and flags resource impacts to Superintendents
Contacts customers for work at risk of meeting commitment
Makes recommendations for overtime based on schedule
Ensures quality and standards of schedules
Works with Database Administrator to maximize efficiency of data transfers between various data systems (i.e.; Maximo, Primavera, Ventyx)
Coordinate storm restoration efforts in any district assigned
Any other duties assigned at a later date
Required for Selection:
Five years experience in Gas and Electric Operations, or equivalent.
Proven leadership ability.
Demonstrated skill in organizing, scheduling, and planning work to maximize operating effectiveness.
Ability to assess and make sound decisions.
Able to travel and work extended hours
Availability for storm coverage across the service territory
Preferred for Selection:
Knowledge of Gas and Electric Operations policies.
Workforce scheduling experience.
Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree from an accredited college, or equivalent work experience.
CIS, Maximo, Ventyx, Primavera systems experience.
Performance and productivity analysis experience.
