JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

This position provides the detail analysis and financial compilations necessary for project evaluation, project authorization and project management.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direction of the Superintendent, this position is responsible for financial analysis including detailed project cost estimation, detail budget development, monitoring of project expenditures and reporting of detailed estimates and project budgets for site projects, including but not limited to Nuclear sustainability projects (NSP), Strategic projects, Segment 1&2 projects, Site betterment projects, and all Outage related projects as assigned.

Position scope includes developing the cost tracking system for the project; Maintains, analyzes and reports on budgets, change orders, expenditures, commitments, work performance, cost variances and estimates; Converts project estimates to control budgets in accordance with the applicable code of accounts and work breakdown structure; Analyzes cost data, physical progress data and schedule data in order to predict the prospective financial performance of the project; preparation of monthly expenditure budgets; and assesses project risk and formulates mitigating contingency values, as needed.

Close coordination is required with Superintendents, project managers, contract managers, supply chain, financial business partners and accounting to ensure timely and accurate reporting of project and/or department expenses.

This position will also assist in the development of documents used in the initiation and close out of all project scope.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

  • Desired: B.S. Degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline generally associated with power plant operations or equivalent, or equivalent work experience

Minimum experience required of the position

  • Four years relevant experience w/degree. Eight years relavent experience w/o degree.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation. Desired: outstanding communication, conflict management, and change management skills. Proficiency with current computer business applications.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

  • Desired: SRO License or certification.
