Function, Focus & Reporting:

  • Manager, Safety & DOT will be responsible for organizational level leadership for DOT management across all operating areas and companies at Focus shall be DOT safety management at InfraSource. Manager, Safety & DOT position will report to the Director of Safety or assigned department senior manager

  • Provide DOT safety leadership to all positions within the Safety

  • Schedule jobsite level audits based on event trending, lagging/leading indicators and DOT safety

  • Provide direction and management to assigned administrative related

  • Provide organizational level DOT safety leadership and shall promote a positive safety

  • Participate in parent company level DOT safety audits across the organization and coordinate corrective actions feedback to the Director of Safety and operations

  • Communicate DOT lessons learned across the organization and InfraSource

  • Review weekly Ops Reports for safety planning

  • Lead, coordinate and conduct DOT safety training instruction and scheduling across all business

  • May assist with/lead special projects as assigned related to organization wide related safety

  • Assist with root cause identification, investigations and case management assigned organizational

  • Complete a monthly expense report for company Purchasing

  • Coordinate, manage and respond to DOT and governmental agency level audits as directed by the Director of Confer with the Director of Safety on all DOT and governmental related contact.

  • Assist with coordinating DOT safety staffing and planning across the

  • Coordinate and lead all DOT support efforts across Lead all DOT database management.

  • Review daily safety experience and daily plan of day email for DOT related information

  • Review all DOT, PVA and MVA events that have occurred for leading and lagging Will make sure investigations, corrective actions and safety planning is purposeful, complete and supported.

  • Ensure timely notifications for serious DOT and vehicle related events are made to Director of

  • Lead Vehicle Incident Reduction Manage all PVA and MVA incidents in the company.

  • Provide DOT metrics weekly to Director of Safety to include all DOT related

  • All other assigned duties by Director of Safety or assigned department senior manager

Qualifications:

  • Will maintain current certifications in DOT related areas, CPR, AED and basic first

  • Maintain and develop gas distribution, pipeline and underground electric safety

  • Must be able to travel nationwide as needed and throughout organization Must travel to all business regions monthly. Overnight travel as needed to support position and duties.

  • Must maintain professional interaction, appearances and communication within all levels of

  • Continued professional development and Quanta train-the-trainer certification

  • InfraSource approved Demonstrate safe driving behaviors. Follow all DMV rules and regulations.

  • On call 24/7 or as assigned after hours, weekends.

  • All other assigned qualifications by Director of Safety or assigned department senior manager.
