Position Specific Description Position: Power Generation Internship – Technology & Innovation
Power Generation Division Internship positions: Under direct supervision, this job applies diversified knowledge of computer science principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and related fields. Develops knowledge and skills within a specific practice area. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features. Collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for non-routine aspects of assignments. Works on small projects or portions of larger projects.Candidates must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to be considered
Some of the responsibilities for this Computer Science / Electrical internship are listed below:
- Manage server/tag/application standardization projects
- Manage real-time data configuration development for new Solar Photovoltaic and Wind sites
- Support deployment of various internal and external applications
- Identify and pursue innovative technologies
- Microsoft Business Intelligence tasks (working with PowerPivot, Power BI, Power Query, SSRS Reporting Services, and Excel)
- SharePoint design
- Cleaning data; analyzing data; presenting data in a visually meaningful way
Assisting with report automation across Engineering & Technical Services group
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science majors highly preferred.
ONLY accepting freshman and sophomore students at this time (Those graduating with their bachelor degree Dec. 2019 or later).
MUST be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
LOCATIONS INCLUDE: Juno Beach, Florida (Corporate headquarters)
Job Overview Employees in the role will be provided mentoring and practical hands on experience for relevant career-related activities encountered in the student’s area of study or specialization. To be considered for this position the applicant must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. Candidate must also have a current GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).
