We are currently looking for a Principal Engineer, based out of our Juno Beach corporate location. The position will be in the New Nuclear Project group. The New Nuclear Project group is responsible for the development of the Turkey Point Units 6 & 7 (APN 6 & 7) Combined License Application and obtaining the NRC issued Combined License to build and operate APN 6 & 7. The group is also responsible for developing licensing documentation and interfacing with the regulatory agencies.

The successful candidate should have a working knowledge regarding the engineering, licensing and operation of the nuclear power facility. This includes working knowledge of the nuclear steam supply system, mechanical systems, electrical and instrumentation and nuclear power plant structures. Experience in development and review of license documents, license amendment requests and supporting NRC reviews would be considered a plus.

In this role, you will be a member of the team that is responsible for reviewing engineering documents that specify the system, structures and components that are necessary for continued operation throughout the extended period of operation and evaluating programs for monitoring and managing the effect of aging of the components. The successful candidate will also be responsible for reviewing standard design changes for structures and civil construction sequences, as needed, for impact to the licensing basis. Job Overview This job is responsible for developing technical recommendations to support complex nuclear projects and operations. Employees in this role perform advanced engineering activity and analysis that lead to the development of innovative concepts. Individuals participate in the development of new solutions involves the study of engineering principles, selection of areas for investigation, working through opportunities within scope, and communicating research findings. The successful candidate is responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities • Works independently to perform engineering tasks with little or no precedence • Provides technical consultation to management • Applies nuclear industry standards and regulations to solve new problems and address situations • Manages project teams toward solutions using leadership prowess, problem solving, and conflict resolution techniques • Represents supervisor interests and serves in a backup capacity when necessary • Serves as technical liaison within and outside business unit • Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications • High School Grad / GED • Bachelor's - Engineering • Experience:12+ years Preferred Qualifications • Master's - Engineering • Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
