Responsible for the governance and oversight of engineering programs across the Entergy fleet.
Govern fleet design engineering processes, practices, and procedures to fleet standardization best practices. Eliminate regional and to the extent practicable, site specific procedures.
Develop, plan and coordinate or implement special projects, corrective action plans, and improvement actions to address plant problems.
Ensure that fleet lessons learned and good practices are shared and implemented.
Ensure that resources are shared across the fleet to improve efficiency.
Ensure the governance of fleet engineering processes and procedures and that processes are continuously improved.
Represent the fleet at meetings with industry, regulators, INPO, etc. to discuss and resolve matters effecting nuclear plant safety, industrial safety, radiological safety, and environmental conditions.
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. degree in engineering or other discipline generally associated with power plant operations, orEquivalent Experience. (Equivalent Experience is defined as demonstrated success at the Managers level. A degree is very strongly preferred.)
Minimum experience required of the position
10 years experience in nuclear power design, engineering, construction, maintenance, operations, PS&O, licensing or equivalent.
5 years supervisory/management experience in an operating nuclear power plant.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation. Outstanding communication, conflict management, and change management skills. Proficiency with current computer business applications.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Professional engineers license is preferred.
