Responsible for ensuring alignment and providing governance over all aspects of Entergy Nuclear training program accreditation and instructional development programs.
Maintain fleet processes and procedures related to the systematic approach to training, and instructor training, to standardize to industry-best practices in training and accreditation. Eliminate reliance on site specific training procedures and policies.
Drive fleet practices to standardization and optimization by achieving consensus among site Training Managers. If consensus cannot be achieved, then direct activities as appropriate.
Coordinate the Corporate Training oversight of site accredited training assessment activities.
Establish and maintain standards for accreditation renewal activities such as ASER development, Accreditation Team Visit execution, and interfaces with INPO and the National Academy for Nuclear Training.
Inform the Director, Training & Development of the progress of fleet activities related to accreditation renewal and instructor training and performance.
Coordinate activities with plant sited to maximize training efficiency and resource sharing.
Establish and maintain instructor technical and instructional development practices to industry-best practices.
Oversee and support the process of preparing site leadership teams for appearances at NANT Boards.
Represent the fleet at meeting with industry, regulators, INPO, ect. to discuss and resolve matters effecting nuclear training and accreditation.
Represent the Director, Training & Development at meetings, industry functions, and other official events
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor Degree in Education or other discipline generally associated with commercial nuclear training or greater than 15 years commercial nuclear training experience
Minimum experience required of the position
8 years’ experience in nuclear training, maintenance, operations, radiation protection, chemistry or PS&O.
3 years supervisory/management experience in operating nuclear power plant.
3 years’ experience in nuclear training.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
In depth understanding of the systematic approach to training.
Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation.
Outstanding communication, conflict management, and change management skills.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
