Southern California Edison’s (SCE’s) Customer Service Organizational Unit (CS) shares the responsibility to safely deliver reliable, affordable electricity to our customers. We support this effort by working to meet customer expectations. Customer Service is dedicated to operational excellence and innovative thinking through our workforce in our call center, field operations, billing and payment center, outage and demand-side management and other service offerings.

Position overview:

The Project Manager (PM) will be an integral part of the project management team (PMT) in Professional Services Support & Integration in CSOD. The PM is responsible for successful delivery of regulatory, strategic, and operational initiatives. This team has a broad range of operational knowledge and is highly skilled in all aspects of project management methodology.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Manage small to medium size project fromproject intake to post implementation.

  • Coordinate project team activities with thepurpose of achieving the project objectives and goals. Provide administrativeguidance for project execution.

  • Utilize project management methodology anddiscipline to develop project charter, project plan development, risk andissues management, business readiness, implementation, quality planning,communications, WBS decomposition, project schedule development, change management, configuration management,status reporting, post-projectreporting, project transition to operations planning, and project closure.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Minimumof four (4) years of experience with regulatory, mandated, operational orcompliance work in a utility environment.

  • Minimumof three (3) years of experience tracking status of key project and/orproduction milestones and communicating information to key stakeholders at alllevels of the organization.

Desired qualifications:

  • Project Management Certification

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, InformationTechnology, Economics or a related field.

  • Experience in execution of project plans, identifying customer andbusiness problems to develop viable solutions and plans that achieve stakeholderexpectations

  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audiencesand levels of management

  • Experience collaborating with management, program/project managers, andtechnical subject matter experts resolving complex customer care issues orissues having a significant impact on customer satisfaction
