PSEG PSEGLI Engineering Analyst - T&S in Hicksville, New York
Work as a team member of Transmission and Substation (T&S) Engineering to provide on-going application support, training, and transfer of data for systems utilized by T&S Engineering and PSEGLI. Work with Engineers, Designers, to collect, interpret, and transfer data to Fixed Assets and corporate record retention systems. Work with internal IT support staff to investigate reports of engineering software system issues. Participate in cross-functional planning and testing of above systems, of which some may be off hour and on weekends. Coordinate Network shared drives and document storage systems for T&S Engineering.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Collect, interpret, and transfer data to the New Equipment Database (NEDLI) for all Property Retirement Units purchased by T&S Engineering. Work with department personnel to resolve issues update records within schedule deadlines
Function as department administrator of ACAD and Teamcenter and other engineering software systems and work with internal IT support staff to investigate reports of issues, problems and upgrades by engineers or designers.
Collect, interpret, and transfer data to the appropriate internal and external property record storage areas for all project data generated by T&S Engineering that must be stored for future access.
Coordinate all Network shared drives and document storage systems for T&S Engineering with IT Helpdesk.
Interface with IT Helpdesk for hardware support groups for computers, printers, wide format plotters to maintain or modify the systems as required.
Prepare reports, presentations and spreadsheets as requested by the department in relation to duties and requests.
As an Expert ACAD and TeamCenter User, create more efficiency in the User configurable choices and automatic routines to benefit all Engineers and Designers using the systems.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Bachelor's Technical degree in Engineering, IT, or related field is required Position level determined based on experience and qualifications:
Associate Engineer Analyst – minimum of one year of ACAD or Engineering Design system experience
Engineering Analyst – 2 years or more or professional engineering experience with knowledge of ACAD and Engineering Document Control.
Sr. Engineering Analyst Staff Engineer – 5+ years related professional engineering experience with ACAD and related automation routines and TeamCenter
Knowledge of Excel, Access Database, Engineering Design software
Demonstrated ability to locate and extract data from business systems and to produce ad-hoc reports. e.g. SAP, PI, NEDLI
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work independently.

Travel to other Company locations as needed.
This position requires a SAFE DRIVING RECORD that will require the use of a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursed in accordance with the PSEG Long Island expense policy.
Demonstrated knowledge of at least three of: ACAD, TeamCenter, SAP or other utility system.
Demonstrated knowledge of Engineering and Utility business processes.
Strong working knowledge of IT. Experience in administration of Engineering drawing control and website design and maintenance.
