PSEG is seeking an Associate Nuclear Engineer to join the team.
Responsibilities: The Associate Engineer will be asked to provide technical expertise in the identification, investigation, and resolution of plant operating, safety and design issues to ensure plant reliability and availability within the systems, design or programs engineering functions in either the Salem or Hope Creek Generating Stations. Systems engineering positions require monitoring, trending and assessing systems and components to improve reliability. Establish system performance for designated systems. Lead cross-functional teams to manage/resolve system performance issues. Perform system walk downs. Ensure overall System Readiness and compliance with design/license basis. Identify and prioritize corrective actions to ensure system safety, reliability and availability. Design engineering positions require maintaining and updating of systems, structures and components design and licensing basis, development of design change packages, technical evaluations, calculations, and 50.59 safety evaluations. Lead cross-functional teams for development and implementation of plant modifications and provide oversight of AE’s developing engineering changes. Identify, prioritize, and evaluate corrective actions to ensure design basis integrity, systems and equipment reliability and availability.
Requirments: BS Degree in an Engineering, Physics, or Health Physics discipline. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Shift work as required depending on assigned system needs and Unit/System Outages. Must meet Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted site access. Must have previous PSEG Nuclear internships/co-op experience
