Job Description Wisconsin Public Service, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is recruiting for a Controls or Electrical Engineer for our Power Generation business unit in the corporate Technical Services Group.This position will provide engineering expertise in the management of power generation control systems.Specific job duties for the electrical or controls engineer include: Analyze existing generation asset control systems (communications reliability, cost reductions, service hours, obsolescence, required maintenance, etc.)Engineer, design, procure, install and commission control, communication, and metering solutions for electric generation facilitiesSupport Generation Control and Instrumentation Technicians with field support, training, and engineering guidanceProvide technical support for corporate functions in NERC CIP complianceLead and/or monitor electrical/controls projects during the engineering, design, and execution phases to ensure changes to scope and schedule are warranted, understood, controlled, and documentedThe selected employees must have the ability to utilize and apply advanced engineering techniques to problem resolution, evaluations and calculations. They should have the ability to independently modify, extrapolate, or develop approaches for unique issues, requiring guidance on complex projects only. The employees will build and lead teams or provide work direction to employees to ensure success of projects and/or solve problems. These positions will be located in the Green Bay headquarters. Travel between all WEC Power Generation facilities in southeast and central Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan should be expected in addition to attendance at conferences and other business travel.ELIGIBLE FOR EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS

Minimum Qualifications - Pursuit of a Bachelors Degree in Engineering with obtainment of that degree required by January 2018

  • 1+ years - Engineering design/analysis experience through school or work

  • 1+ years - Project management experience through school or work

  • A valid driver's license

    Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with power plant control systems including programmable logic controllers, distributed control systems, remote communication systems and human machine interface devices
