This instructor position is responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of the Dominion Nuclear Leadership Development program curriculum in accordance with a systematic approach to training. It requires dynamic facilitation skills to engage our Emerging Leaders though Sr. Leadership. This position also acts as a consultant with internal customers and the Organizational Effectiveness Department to identify gaps in leadership performance and develop strategies to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to promote safe and reliable power plant operations. Subject matter expertise is maintained through research of business leadership examples, knowledge of Dominion standards and application of leadership models.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 5 years experience in corporate training, teaching or curriculum development ;or,
Associates Degree plus 5 years experience in corporate training, teaching or curriculum development plus 4 years leadership, supervisory or project lead experience; or,
High School Degree plus 5 years experience in corporate training, teaching or curriculum development plus 8 years leadership, supervisory or project lead experience.
Excellent teaching and mentoring skills to engage and inspire students.
In-depth subject matter expertise in leadership development behaviors.
Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written) necessary to successfully identify and support customer needs.
Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback to enhance performance.
Strong individual leadership skills with proven ability to serve as a team project lead.
Excellent team player that develops and maintains effective working relationships.
Ability to follow a systematic approach to training process for leadership development curriculum.
Ability to be self-directed, work with minimal supervision and manage multiple assignments and tasks.
Competence in using software applications critical to target audience. (Power Point, Word)
Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor , Other Education: Education
