About Transmission and Distribution
Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE’s 5 million customer accounts.
This position will be in the Distribution Engineering Planning group within Southern California Edison’s Grid Mod, Planning and Technologies Organizational Unit. The Power Quality Manager will report to the Automation/Power Quality Senior Manager, and will manage a team responsible for responding to PQ/RTVI issues on Edison’s electrical system.
Provide leadership, direction and oversight regarding Edison’s Safety program.
Manage and develop strategies and monitor resources to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Manage employee performance and development by providing direction and conducting performance assessments, coaching, mentoring and performing disciplinary action when warranted.
Work closely with Grid Mod, Advanced Technologies, Field Engineering, Grid Ops, T&D and SC&M to ensure that internal/external customer issues are handled in established guide lines.
Bachelor’s degree or minimum of five (5) years of experience managing, supervising, or leading an organization, unit, or teams.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience effectively communicating (written and verbal) in a technical manor.
Minimum (3) three years of experience in troubleshooting Edison’s electrical grid.
Strong interpersonal and cross-organizational communication skills, including the ability to work with all levels within the company
Experience influencing and negotiating, leading using professional interpersonal skills, communication, accountability and ownership, and organizational skills.
Experience managing multiple concurrent tasks in periods of tight deadlines and a dedication to engage in continuous improvement.
Experience integrating safety and work across the organization allowing enhancement of internal and external customer satisfaction.
Make critical decisions, focusing on results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with the latest organizational changes.
