The Eugene Water & Electric Board seeks a Senior Cyber Security Specialist to formulate cyber security architecture and design strategies to align cyber security with organizational strategies. This position oversees the auditing function for cyber security and compliance controls. The successful candidate provides application, monitoring and analysis support for cyber security while maintaining the health and stability of security related systems and devices. They assist in defining security architecture, principles, and requirements for use in IT projects and perform project compliance assessments with regards to security architecture, policies and procedures. They will have expertise with supporting/managing existing security tools and provide recommendations for upgrading and/or replacing those tools.
The Senior Cyber Security Specialist will provide subject mater expertise supporting the security and compliance of EWEB's systems. They will monitor and assess systems, networks and policies to ensure appropriate security efforts and results.
This position will be open until filled. First round of application review will begin on September 8th.

Minimum Training and Experience Required
Requirements As A Qualification & Progression
Minimum Experience: Five years of progressive experience in cyber security or information security, compliance, or vulnerability management. Knowledge of technology and security topics including network security, application security, or database security.
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field.
Desirable education, experience, training and certifications: Security related training or certifications. Experience working with NERC CIP standards.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be qualifying.
Valid driver license: Yes, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of appointment.
Professional license or registration: None.
