Eversource Energy Environmental Field Response Co-Op/Internship in Dorchester, Massachusetts

Job Description Summary:

Location: Dorchester, MA

Duration: Jan - June 2018

Schedule: M- F, 8AM - 4:30PM, 40 hours per week

The Environmental Affairs Department provides “in-house” support on oil spills. Student will play a critical role in the spill response effort. In addition, Eversource has over 500 electrical power distribution stations that have oil-filled equipment regulated by the Federal EPA as requiring a Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan.

The co-op student will work primarily at the Dorchester, MA facility, however, the co-op may be required to occasionally visit area stations to determine spill migration pathways and local area environmental settings. The bulk of the work will require the co-op to work with Environmental Affairs Department Personnel, Engineering and Electric Operations.

The co-op should be at-least a second year engineering student majoring in Environmental Sciences or Civil & Environmental Engineering. The student should possess a valid driver’s license and have a personally owned vehicle (POV). The student should also possess functional skills with Office Computer Software including: Word; Spread-Sheets; and EXCEL.
