NiSource Manager Strategy in Columbus, Ohio

Identify, refine and analyze strategic issues across the gas and electric industries

Conduct analysis to understand the companys absolute and relative performance in each utility

Support corporate development activities, including target identification, evaluation, valuation and due diligence

Conduct insightful business analysis that evaluates the financial, market, and regulatory environments through the lens of customers and other stakeholders

Lead and/or support cross-functional teams to evaluate high value issues and develop actionable alternatives for decision makers

Develop insightful business analysis that evaluates the financial, market and regulatory through the lens of all of the stakeholders

Monitor, track, interpret and share key industry, regulatory and technology trends

Support the development of strategy team members

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong analytic and financial modeling skills, with understanding of how to link strategies to financial plans and utilize research and analysis to develop innovative insights and drive actionable results

Demonstrated ability to structure, analyze and present decision focused alternatives

Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and problem solving in ambiguous environments

Demonstrated ability to see and understand the big picture

Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across functions

Demonstrated ability to develop clear and logical presentations

Advanced business modeling and decision analysis skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proactive work style and ability to work independently and manage cross-functional activities with limited oversight

Understanding of the electric and gas utility industry and regulatory environment

Required for Selection:

Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

MBA, MPA or similar degree strongly preferred

CPA, CFA or similar credential is a plus

Previous experience at a regulated utility is strongly preferred

7+ years of applicable business experience
