As a member of PSE&G's Gas Operations' Quality Control & Quality Assurance group, the QA/QC Program Leader provides leadership and expertise in the management of gas field construction assurance programs and assessments. Provide direction to associates and contractors on QA/QC requirements; review specifications for gas systems, components, and /or materials; conduct field inspections to ensure compliance and requirements; and observe/document construction tasks, safety procedures and customer interactions that occur on PSE&G crew and contractor work sites. Ensure adherence to approved gas construction standards, safety equipment use and safe work procedures in the effort to achieve the highest criteria for quality. Maintain and apply knowledge of PSEG Construction and Safety Standards, Emergency Response policies and procedures and recognize, stop and correct conditions as appropriate. Recognize and document employee performance and competence level, and expertise of associates and contractors to perform particular tasks in a manner that meets company expectations. Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements related to gas construction, leak management and NJ One Call Requirements; report on compliance of regulated functions. Conduct quality auditing, surveillance, observations and evaluations; may perform self-assessments; train others in these functions. As needed, provide gap analysis and process mapping. Measure, comprehend and communicate cause and effect. Provide recognition, development and implementation of best practices. Employ root-cause analysis, lessons learned, data analysis, and situational mitigation corrective action plans. Prepare reports; create and deliver presentations for senior management. As an employee of PSE&G, you should be aware that during storm/outage restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions different from normal operations and your regular work schedule. · BS/BA degree - engineering degree preferred
· 8 years' data analysis and quality assurance control experience
· 8 years' construction project management experience; 5 years' experience working on moderate to large projects
· Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
· Safety sensitive position; DOT testing required
As an employee of PSE&G or PSEG Long Island, you should be aware that during storm restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
