Job Responsibilities: o Manage the interconnection of FERC jurisdictional interconnection projects to the transmission network and distribution grid (rare) - Coordinate with other departments to complete Impact Studies, Facilities Studies, Engineering, Construction, Agreements, Financial True-up on assigned projects o Responsible for ongoing account management to address issues after interconnection and to proactively ensure generators comply with agreement terms o Ensure compliance with internal policies and state interconnection standards and procedures o Execution and ongoing administration of complex interconnection agreements o Develop knowledge and experience to be viewed as a subject matter expert on issues related to FERC jurisdiction transmission projects

o I n addition to FERC jurisdictional interconnection projects, this position could also be required to manage state jurisdictional projects. o This position deals with less project volume but a higher level of complexity, additional risk (financial and reputational), and higher cost projects (multi- million dollars and multi-year duration) when compared to distribution Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business with 8 -12 years of directly related work experience or 13 - 17 years of directly related work experience in lieu of a degree. Engineering or other technical experience Project management and account management experience Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) and deal with internal and external customers and stakeholders. Ability to interpret regulations and procedures and deal effectively with conflict and ambiguity Ability to work effectively with computer applications (MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Pro, Salesforce, internal applications such as Maximo) Desired Qualifications: Experience in account management roles (understanding of rates and service regulations) Experience with system planning, distributed generation, FERC interconnection standards/procedures Familiarity with electric utility system and construction standards (transmission and distribution) Experience dealing with contracts, agreements and legal issues Strong problem solving, project management and implementation skills. Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) Experience with estimating and reviewing project financials Ability to balance role as customer advocate and Duke representative while complying with standards and procedures Job: Regulatory
