The Supply Chain Associate Program is Duke Energy’s Supply Chain development program for innovative college graduates seeking a dynamic career in a variety of Supply Chain functions at the country’s largest electric power holding company.

This rotational program is designed to be a talent pipeline into Duke Energy’s Supply Chain department developing technical experts and future leaders. The program provides competitive experiences across a multitude of diverse Supply Chain environments that prepare participants to traverse into critical future roles. Each of the four, six-month assignments may take place in any of the following Supply Chain functional areas, including Generation, Strategic Projects, Transmission and Distribution, Gas, Enterprise and Strategy & Operations. Interfaces may include many areas within the Supply Chain organization, including Sourcing, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, Inventory Optimization, Process Improvement, and Supply Chain Strategy.

In these four rotations, Supply Chain Associates experience complex intellectual challenges, participate on and lead small-scale and large-scale initiatives and interact with other Supply Chain Associates through planned social and work activities. Each of these activities help candidates gain practical, on-the-job experience in key areas of Supply Chain, including negotiations, commercial evaluations, project management, strategy development and process improvement as well as experience within numerous systems and tools. Duties & Responsibilities:

Plans sourcing strategies Participates in cross functional teams to implement sourcing strategies Develops requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes supplier responses and negotiates and awards contracts and agreements Develops understanding and proficiencies of e-procurement tools Performs data analysis and summary conclusions Track market conditions and sources of supply Maintains effective interfaces across the Supply Chain, throughout the company and with suppliers. Key interfaces within the Supply Chain group include Sourcing, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, Inventory Optimization, Process Improvement and Supply Chain Strategy. Environment, Physical & Other Requirements:

This position will be located in Charlotte, North Carolina Office environment Travel to company facilities and suppliers 10% of the time Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Recently graduated or prepared to graduate in the next two semesters with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited University in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or Economics related major Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
