The Senior Financial Analyst – Nuclear Corporate is responsible for performing day to day finance functions to support the Nuclear Corporate business area. Position will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial reporting tools and applications, performing financial analysis, supporting budget development, forecasting, long-range planning, and special projects. This position will consult, and partner with, business executives and senior nuclear management on financial priorities and challenges. This position influences and drives financial acumen across the organization. Effectively communicates with senior leaders of the business who may not be financial experts. Develops and formulates recommendations based on analyses and operational knowledge. Identifies trends and recommends business solutions. Key work activities also include formulating and consolidating budgets, and developing consolidated financial information.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Develop and maintain complex financial reports to support the department’s reporting needs

Recommend and design business solutions to automate, streamline and simplify work streams using technology

Train team members and business partners on processes, procedures, software and reporting tools

Lead or participate on teams to solve business problems, make recommendations to management and implement solutions

Serve as a subject matter expert on financial and related systems

Provide financial, accounting, and business management analytical support to various levels of management and customers

Perform month end financial duties including the preparation of journal entries and generation of financial reports

Evaluate and report business unit O&M and capital budget variances

Develop year-end O&M and capital projections

Prepare and make financial presentations for management review, cost/status reporting, and decision making

Support the development of long-range business plans and budgets

Generate reports, graphs and charts as requested using PC and/or financial applications

Possess a working knowledge of appropriate financial applications

Participate as a team member in various special projects or financial studies

#LI-POST Qualifications: Required/Basic Qualifications:

BS/BA in Accounting/Finance, Economics, or related discipline or equivalent work experience Six (6) or more years of increasingly diverse or complex experience in related field in addition to degree Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of accounting and finance principles, practices, and procedures to complete moderately complex assignments Experience with financial applications (i.e., PeopleSoft FMIS, Power Plant, etc.) and query tool (Business Objects) Proficient using Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and Power Point Desired Qualifications:

Graduate degree in Accounting, Business or related fields Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification (or working toward certification) Prior experience providing financial support to nuclear organizations Understanding of nuclear business Energy industry experience Experience interfacing effectively with senior leadership Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and/or in a team environment to provide recommendations when only limited standardization or precedence exists Strong analytical/problem solving skills and business acumen. Ability to understand business operations and apply business acumen to identify issues and propose innovative solutions Ability to build relationships with customers at all levels within the organization and to influence others and achieve resolution Strong leadership abilities Advanced skills using Excel, Business Objects, Financial Cubes, PeopleSoft Financials Job: Finance and Accounting
