Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation Facility Support Electrical/HVAC Worker II in Burlington, Kansas

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform maintenance tasks on Wolf Creek owned facilities not directly associated with electrical power production (non-power block as described in the MOU with Maintenance). Duties to include assisting in servicing and maintaining HVAC systems, performance of maintenance inspections, repairs and installations, performance of electrical troubleshooting, modifications and maintenance on electrical/electronic systems in support of facilities maintenance.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain control of AS RCM data base information.

Order materials for use with repairs and new installations (minor renovation projects).

Support preventative maintenance activities for electrical and HVAC systems, and general facilities maintenance.

Assist Level III and above Electrical/HVAC workers in troubleshooting activities to include design/development of repairs for obsolete or damaged equipment to aid in maintaining operability.

Attend training and Technical seminars as deemed necessary by the Facilities Management Supervisor.

Perform other duties to support Facilities Management as assigned by supervision/management.

REQUIREMENTS

This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and one to three years experience in a related field. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Relies on limited experience and judgment to accomplish goals and works under general supervision. Must have the ability to complete vendor courses in HVAC maintenance and electrical trades. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures and have the knowledge of general maintenance, experience with tools and electrical safety practices.

CERTIFICATION OR LICENSES

Must complete and maintain fire watch qualifications as required.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Must have the ability to be CPR/First Aid qualified.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Must maintain a satisfactory work record including good attendance.
