Job Summary/Purpose

Partner with nuclear station HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to develop work packages and facilitate strategic HR reviews and action plans with the Site Leadership Team (SLT) in the areas of: Talent Management; Leadership and Team effectiveness; Organizational Health; and Performance Management.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Talent Management - Partners with the HRBP and helps to facilitate review sessions with SLT to review Talent Management areas and develop/monitor action plans. Examples of TM areas include: Workforce planning, attrition analysis, critical individual retirements including advance succession and knowledge transfer, pipeline proposals, diversity gap identification and closure goals, establishing graduate and experience hire targets. HiPo talent identification/assessment pulling together an aggregate view of future leader capabilities – including local leadership and external consultants. HiPo talent development, including quality reviews of IDPs, planning on the job experiences that can be gained at a station and that align with an individual’s career path. Succession planning for roles at a station and at a fleet level.

Leadership and Team Effectiveness - Partners with HRBPs and SLT to ensure robust plans and interventions are in place to develop future leaders: Working with Entergy leaders and consultant services ensures that future leaders are assessed against Entergy leadership practices (which integrate INPO attributes) and their ability to deliver results ensuring that this feedback is integrated into IDPs for HiPo staff (particularly those forecasted to achieve Director and above levels). Working with HRBP and external consulting services the T&OD ensures that periodic assessments are conducted with key station teams to ensure the health of the team atmosphere and that required business objectives are being achieved.

Organizational Health - Partners with HRBPs and SLT to ensure robust plans and interventions are in place to develop future leaders and Working with HRP, the T&OD provides individual site and comparative analysis from various surveys (OHI, INPO, Synergy) that enables the SLT to develop and integrate actions in their business plans that will achieve top quartile health score results when compared to other heavy industrial environments. Important to acknowledge that Entergy’s OHI survey is the lead indicator. Provides best practice examples that may help the SLT in improving organizational health. Understands the linkage between leadership and team effectiveness and organizational health and can integrate this perspective into analysis and action planning.

Performance Management - Works with HRBP and SLT to ensure a thorough approach to performance management is being utilized at the station and that reinforces industry leading results. Provides analysis of whether individual and team recognition is taking place that are aligned with achieving functional excellence. Provides analysis of whether corrective performance measures are taking place to address behaviors and results that are detrimental to a work team achieving functional excellence. Works with the HRBP to conduct the annual performance assessment and review process, following Entergy and Nuclear guidelines. At the Nuclear Fleet level the T&OD team ensures that the annual performance review process is driving functional excellence across sites.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or alternatively a degreed line professional who has gained substantial experience in Human Resources, namely leadership development and team effectiveness. For Human Resources professionals a Master’s degree will be preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of HR related experience

Ability to operate and accomplish responsibilities independently.

Strong organization, analytical, presentation and facilitation skills.

Meets deadlines with outstanding preparation.

Proven coaching and influencing skills.
