Assistant Project Manager- Dewatering

Description

This position will be accountable for assisting with the management of contractual aspects of dewatering projects of various size, scope and complexity.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to:

  • Promote safety – assist with the implementation of all applicable HSE programs, policies and procedures

  • Understand the terms and scope of the contract as it applies to the project

  • Help facilitate subcontractor activities under direct supervision

  • Track material, production, and project costs and provide documentation to PM

  • Assist PM with correspondence and reporting to clients and federal/state agencies

  • Maintain project schedule tracking for PM

  • Attend construction related meetings to support project related functions

  • Basic estimating, take‐offs, solicit quotes

  • Assist PM with bid submittal packages

  • Invoicing clients and resolving accounts receivables

  • Provide onsite administrative support activities

  • Other duties as assigned

Prior project management experience in construction and/or a B.S in Construction Management, Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with prior internship experience working for a contractor in a project engineering or related role is preferred. Prior experience with drilled and jetted well dewatering systems, wellpoint systems, eductor stystems, horizontal dewatering systems, and other large volume pumping applications related to construction dewatering is preferred. Applicants must be able to handle multiple projects at one time, possess strong attention to detail, possess the ability to successfully negotiate terms and conditions, manage tight deadlines and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with various levels of management. Proficiency in computer software specifically with estimating and job cost tracking software is preferred. Experience with Primavera Software and Microsoft Office Suite is highly beneficial.
