National Grid Analyst / Sr. Analyst, RCoE Demand Management & Continuous Improvement in Brooklyn, New York11225

_About the Position: _

This position reports to the Manager, RCoE Demand Management & Continuous Improvement and is responsible for developing reporting processes, executing new demand requests, and partnering with customers to drive continuous improvement by increasing productivity, accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.


_Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):_

  • Support a Center of Excellence for defining, documenting, implementing, and maintaining reporting processes using software tools, spreadsheets and reports to support business decision-making. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through best practice

  • Establish, maintain and monitor the financial control framework, ensuring compliance with all appropriate controls including those required for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

  • Manage RCoE service level agreements (SLAs) and assess key performance metrics (KPIs)

  • Partner with customers (through workshops, meetings and discussion groups) to identify gaps in reporting needs, update reports and reporting tools, and find innovative solutions and opportunities to increase productivity, accuracy, speed of delivery and effectiveness and reduce costs

  • Objectively assess whether desired business outcomes have been satisfied by implemented solutions and take appropriate steps to remedy if not

  • Assist in monitoring and identifying risks / issues and overseeing change impacts. Support the delivery of change across Finance/Shared Services and the business by embracing new ways of working and owning delivery of key outcomes to drive the improvement of long-term business capability

  • Provide guidance in the use of reporting tools

  • Define business requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits business process descriptions, use cases and workflow analysis to challenge (where applicable) and translate them into actionable and deliverable solutions.

_Qualifications Required:_

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in MIS or financial discipline

  • Experience working with accounting / finance systems and general ledgers

  • Knowledge of finance processes and terminology

  • Technical and functional proficiency in finance modules

  • Project management and problem solving skills

  • Effective collaboration and partnership capabilities

  • Manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • Excellent written / oral communication skills and follow-up
