Job Description:

Idaho Power is seeking an experienced Customer Service Manager. The Customer Service Manager is both an operational and strategic position responsible for the management of all aspects of Customer Service operations including; the billing processes, account maintenance, credit and collections, outage communication, inbound customer calls, Web interactions, new service requests, and phone-based customer relationship outreach. The Manager directs the daily activities of Customer Service Supervisors and the Customer Service Scheduler. He/She also develops, recommends, and implements customer service strategies that will meet corporate goals in financial strength, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and safe, engaged, and effective employees, while ensuring that teams work safely and efficiently within Company policies and procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Knowledge of:

  • Best practices in world-class customer service organizations, including people, technology, scheduling, metrics, and processes.

Prefer

  • Understanding of Idaho Power's customer base

  • Understanding of utility industry and regulated environment including tariffs, rules, and regulations

  • Budgeting processes experience

Skills in:

  • Strong leadership

  • Management, supervision, and collaboration

  • Presentation of materials, both orally and in writing

  • Problem identification and resolution

  • Conflict resolution.

Ability to:

  • Be a self-starter, customer focused, committed to organizational success, innovative, and resourceful

  • Build and maintain successful relationships with external customers and within Idaho Power

  • Think strategically and make good business decisions

  • Develop and deploy customer satisfaction improvement initiatives

  • Provide employee satisfaction through mentoring, listening, and communication.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, research, organizational leadership, or related discipline, OR equivalent combination of formal education and experience.

Prefer:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, research, organizational leadership, or related discipline.

Experience:

  • 7 years’ experience in a customer contact or interaction/account maintenance operations role with 3 years of supervisory experience.

Prefer

  • Five or more years of related experience with a utility emphasis

  • Working knowledge of Idaho Power Company in a leadership position.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position.

  • Job requires occasional travel with overnight stays

  • Job requires some schedule flexibility based on operating hours of Customer Service Center.
