Job Description Summary:
Eversource Energy's Transmission Organization is seeking a motivated engineering student to work in the Protection and Controls Engineering Group. This group is responsible for the reliable operation of the transmission system during planned and unplanned events.
The candidate would expected to perform the following functions:
Assist with investigation and analysis of transmission system disturbances
Assist with as-building relay settings and filing
Assist with the department's efforts towards grouping substation alarms sent to the control center via our Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system
Possible minor expense project work involving protection system design modifications
Perform P&C reviews of proposed thermal ratings changes
Preference will be given for students majoring in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of schooling completed.
Student must be currently enrolled in a Degree program and still be enrolled during Summer 2018. This disqualifies May 2018 Graduates.
