Eversource Energy Product Manager in Berlin, Connecticut

Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for the development, implementation and management of energy efficiency programs and products. This position ensures that energy efficiency programs and products are aligned with current technology, modified on a timely basis, remain financially viable and comply with all federal and state requirements. This position works closely with the Sales, Marketing and Implementation Groups, as well as vendors, trade groups and customers. Develops and implements new product programs consistent with market assessment and Company operational and financial goals. Oversees the assessment of products and programs through the coordination of market analysis and characterization, opportunity assessment, decision to proceed, and implementation plan. Works with Marketing, Sales and Implementation Groups on all aspects of new product and program introduction, promotion and training. Oversees ongoing analysis and assessment to ensure knowledge and understanding of market, competition, product development, application and specification, changing regulations and impact on Company goals and financial performance. Builds and maintains strong alliances with vendors, trade groups and customers. Provides information and support to Marketing, Sales and Implementation Groups regarding products and programs. Provides regular updates on product and market status and changes, as well as presentations concerning product strategy and direction to Company, customer and partner groups.


Technical Knowledge/Skill: Requires in-depth working knowledge of new product development and product management. Also requires a working knowledge of marketing assessment as well as an understanding of energy markets and energy efficiency products. Requires strong communication, writing and presentation skills. Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point).

Education: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, related discipline or equivalent experience. MBA preferred.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years in business with a minimum of four (4) years in product and program development.
