About the Opportunity

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Solutions (FES), a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [FES]

This position is in the SalesGroup under Government Aggregation and is located at the West Akron Campus facility in Akron.

The Government Aggregation Analyst III will be responsible for developing and advancing the sales’strategy of the Government Aggregation group, creating offers, managing contracts, tracking offerschedules, creating high-level reports, gathering and evaluating data, trouble shooting, designingprocess improvements and tracking the group’s success versus plan. This analyst should be verycomfortable working with large amounts of data and querying databases. This position will be able to provide sales representatives with theanalytics needed to win contracts and should be able to query systems and produce regular andspecial reports that support the organization’s sale and revenue goals.

Responsibilities:include:

  • Querying databases and pulling information from databases using Access, Qlikview, or otherdatabase systems

  • Actively participating in proposal development process including: data input, data analysis,pricing, contract preparation, and preparing responses to RFP's

  • Assisting sales leadership in advancing both new and renewal sales opportunities through thesales process from contract start to closure

  • Preparing sales analysis for entry into new markets through research of rules and regulationsfor new Electric Distribution Companies and maintains knowledge of regulatory rules foraggregation and residential sales

  • Creating offers in CRM and understands the implications of how these offers match ourrevenue and contract systems

  • Learning, using and reporting from the Aggregation Management Tool and understanding listmanagement.

  • Evaluating efficiencies and coordinating the work of team members. Utilizes resources in establishing agreed upon timetables for accuratecompletion of tasks and meeting commitments.

  • Providing sound internal and external customer service by: developing positive relationships;identifying needs and expectations; responding effectively and proactively; acting as aliaison between the Gov Agg team and other departments

  • Educating and directing others on technical subject matters, improves programs and createsprocess improvements that make significant contributions to the achievement of goals andobjectives.

  • Preparing advanced analytical work, including data creation and scenario analysis of load,customer levels and revenues.

  • Providing back-up to leadership, including training for new analysts

  • Leading diverse projects and implements process improvements

  • High level project leader – can work with little supervision on high level projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required

  • Minimum 4 years professional work experience requried

  • Proficiencient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Access,Word) as well as other business unit specific applications

  • Excellent analytical abilities - including advanced knowledge of customer record systems,revenue systems and commission systems (CRM, ABP, AMT and Hedge Direct) and howthese systems interact and are part of the customer experience

  • Ability to query, evaluate and consolidate data and present in a meaningful way tomanagement

  • Demonstrated ability to react and respond to change in a fast-paced / high stress workenvironment.

  • Knowledge of deregulated electric markets and regulatory rules and an understanding ofhow they apply to sales strategies and current FES business practices and systems.

  • Desire to continue to learn, grow and work across FirstEnergy and deliver results

  • Demonstrates accountability for own work

  • Delivers quality, accurate work within established deadlines

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead others in achieving goals

  • Applied in-depth understanding of products and/or services that can be used or developedto anticipate customer needs and expectations Uses best practices and techniques for addressing customer concerns.

  • Expert troubleshooting skills and resolution.

  • Exercises independent judgment on projects and assignments.

  • Knowledge of financial statements and pricing

  • Knowledge of CRM, Qlikview, CRM offer building, ABP a plus

  • Knowledge of FES costing system and energy markets preferred

  • Project leadership skills desired
