About the Opportunity

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Solutions (FES), a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [FES]

This positon is responsible for coordinating the scheduling of FirstEnergy Solutions physical bi-lateral transactions, and load obligations within the respective RTO footprint. It also assists in all position balancing functions as required.

The position reports to the Manager, Short- Term Transactions and is located at the West Akron Campus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately scheduling daily trades

  • Managing Virtual Bids/Offers and Financial Schedules

  • Third-Party Schedule Coordination

  • Coordinating the transmission reservation and tagging process

  • Assisting in developing and maintaining standard procedure and process documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field required. Advanced degree a plus.

  • Minimum 0-4 years professional work experience required

  • Familiarity with PJM eSuites, MISO Portal, OATI Tagging and OASIS preferred

  • Familiarity with MISO and/or PJM energy markets is preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word)

  • Demonstrate a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results, and strengthen existing relationships

  • In-depth understanding of applicable products and/or services and of customer needs and expectations

  • Possess a sound knowledge of various researching techniques

  • Desire to continue to learn, grow and work across FirstEnergy, and deliver results

  • Excellent analytical abilities

  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with individuals at all levels

  • Deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
