About the Opportunity
This is an open position with FirstEnergy Solutions (FES), a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [FES]
This positon is responsible for coordinating the scheduling of FirstEnergy Solutions physical bi-lateral transactions, and load obligations within the respective RTO footprint. It also assists in all position balancing functions as required.
The position reports to the Manager, Short- Term Transactions and is located at the West Akron Campus.
Accurately scheduling daily trades
Managing Virtual Bids/Offers and Financial Schedules
Third-Party Schedule Coordination
Coordinating the transmission reservation and tagging process
Assisting in developing and maintaining standard procedure and process documentation
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field required. Advanced degree a plus.
Minimum 0-4 years professional work experience required
Familiarity with PJM eSuites, MISO Portal, OATI Tagging and OASIS preferred
Familiarity with MISO and/or PJM energy markets is preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word)
Demonstrate a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results, and strengthen existing relationships
In-depth understanding of applicable products and/or services and of customer needs and expectations
Possess a sound knowledge of various researching techniques
Desire to continue to learn, grow and work across FirstEnergy, and deliver results
Excellent analytical abilities
Ability to develop effective working relationships with individuals at all levels
Deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
