About the Opportunity

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subdisiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [SC00]

This position reports to the Manager of Consumer Products and is located at the General Office.

This is an existing position within Consumer Products. Analyst is responsible for performing the daily management of customer-based programs. Management of the Consumer Products portfolio of legacy products and services – as well as new products that are commercialized from development – requires communication with program contractors, vendors and customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting efforts in bringing support teams together for product branding strategy, market planning and implementation for their products portfolio with direct impact to product performance

  • Developing objectives for product performance, outlining goals for increasing a product’s value and maximizing the performance and marketplace effectiveness of a product throughout its Product Lifecycle

  • Assisting in management for assigned program(s) sales, marketing and overall growth through the product’s life cycle

  • Assisting in making presentations to peer groups and management related to overall product performance

  • Working with Marketing to perform research, compile data, and identify trends useful in strategic decision making related to respective products/programs

  • Establishing a strong knowledge of Consumer Products programs

  • Participating in the Product Innovation Action Team and supporting the FE Products innovation and new product development process

  • Supporting department management, including bringing ideas through the developmental stage of new product roll out, by gathering and analyzing all available data, marketing research and product line development

  • Working in a fast paced and driven environment that focuses on customer satisfaction and financial results

An employee hired at the Analyst II level will be expected to perform all of the above responsibilities with more proficiency, and in a more independent manner. Further, the Analyst II level employee will be assigned additional responsibilities related to those listed above.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required

  • Minimum 0-4 years professional work experience required

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask, is self-motivated and works with limited supervision

  • Ability to deal with pressure in a constantly changing environment

  • Ability to challenge the status quo and continually look for ways to improve processes

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). SAP a plus.

  • Ability to analyze financial and customer data, identify problems, suggest and discuss recommended solutions and pursue selected solutions through implementation

  • Desire to learn new skills, acquire product knowledge and work closely in a team environment

  • Must be willing to assist with all tasks within a small work group

  • Ability to travel, minimum 5% of time

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills

  • Detail-oriented and able to work within specific guidelines adhering to a product lines strict polices and procedures
